Here are some pictures from Katie & Josh's wedding at Bybee Nims Blueberry Farm in North Bend, Washington. The location is quickly becoming one of my favorite wedding venues. The view is stunning and outdoor locations like this make for relaxed people who have a great time.
Congratulations Katie & Josh!

Here are pictures from Courtney and Greg's wedding a couple weeks ago. It was a special wedding for me because I had previously photographed the groom's sister and the bride's sister at their weddings. It was a treat to see so many familiar faces. The wedding was at First Lutheran just across from Wright Park. The reception was at Fircrest Golf Club.
Congratulations you two, you're a beautiful couple!

Last weekend I got to shoot a really cool wedding in North Bend. The couple had the wedding outdoors at the bride's parent's house. Sitting at the base of Mt. Si surrounded by forest, the wedding had a very northwest feel. Everyone had a great time and the party stretched late into the evening.
Congrats Emily and Matt. Thanks for having me at your wedding.

Last weekend Lindsey and I shot a wedding for some friends of ours at the Fairgate Inn in Camas, Washington. The bride and I went to school together growing up, and the groom went to college with Lindsey and me. We got to see lots of our old friends, and had a great time taking pictures. Congratulations Kelly & Ryan, you guys make a stunning couple and we wish you much happiness in the years ahead.

I had a great shoot the other weekend at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle, Washington. The bride and groom were super cool people, as were all the guests. It felt like I spent the whole day hanging out with friends at the beach, which made for some awesome images.
This is the first time I've shot inside the Bathhouse at Golden Gardens. The light is absolutely stunning inside, and it was a nice retreat after spending a few hours in the sun.

Here are a few wedding photos from Jennifer & David's wedding. They had their wedding and reception at Kilworth Chapel on the University of Puget Sound campus, in Tacoma, Washington.
I always enjoy shooting weddings at Kilworth. The light inside the chapel is amazing. Congratulations Jennifer & Dave, you guys are beautiful.

I was up in the Bellingham area a couple weeks ago to photograph Jennifer & Matthew's wedding. I've been to Beau Lodge a couple times now and I really like the venue. There are so many great backgrounds for shooting all close to the lodge. Jennifer & Matthew you guys were great to work with, thanks for choosing me as your photographer!

I recently photographed the inaugural wedding at the Bybee Blueberry Farm in North Bend, Washington. It's an incredible wedding location. The farm is literally sitting at the base of Mount Si. Quite appropriately, the bride and groom are part of the family business. Congratulations Kelli and Tom, thanks for having me be part of your wedding day.

I love this couple. Actually, I love every couple I work with, but this couple brought me along to their wedding in Yosemite, and it was incredible. Congratulations Heather and Peter!
It got started on Friday. I flew in to Sacramento and drove out to Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite. The sky was filled with smoke from forest fires (which made for great lighting). I arrived in time for the rehearsal dinner BBQ, and I got a chance to meet and mingle with the guests.
On Saturday the wedding was later in the day so all the guests went hiking/swimming/etc during the day. I hiked up to Carlon Falls to take some pictures and go for a swim. Later that afternoon the wedding got started, and it was an extraordinary event. Here are some pictures:

I had the pleasure of joining Karen & Aaron in Leavenworth at Mountain Springs Lodge for their wedding. It was a gorgeous location, and the couple was super fun to work with. Here are a few images from their wedding.

My wife and I were guests at a friends wedding the other weekend at Beau Lodge just south of Bellingham. We had a great time enjoying the wedding festivities sans the photographer responsibilities. I still took a few pictures ;)

Here are some pictures from an engagement shoot I had at Gas Works Park earlier this week. We had a great time exploring the park just before it got dark on a cloudy weekday evening.

This weekend I had an engagement shoot at the Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle. It was a gorgeous day, and we had a great time wandering around the park and dodging the security guards (they stopped by to make sure we didn't touch or lean against the art). I'm looking forward to the wedding next month.

Clara and Paul had an elegant evening wedding at the Stimson-Green Mansion in Seattle, Washington. Coincidentally, I met the couple last summer in the lobby of the Sorrento Hotel while shooting another wedding.
The bride and groom were really sweet to each other and they were a lot of fun to photograph. They make a very classy pair and I wish them the best in the years ahead.

Eva and David had an intimate ceremony at Discovery Park in Seattle, WA. They invited a handful of family and friends and were married on a warm sunny afternoon.

Jodie and William were married at the Columbia Gorge Hotel in Hood River Oregon. The hotel is a romantic setting high above the Columbia River, and is "consistently ranked as one of the top 10 places in America to get hitched." Jodie and William are very sweet together and we really enjoyed photographing their wedding.

Jesi and Ross were married at South Bay Bed and Breakfast near Bellingham, Washington. Both avid mountaineers, the bride and groom carried this theme throughout their wedding. A Celtic band played at the reception, and extraordinary dancing ensued.

Vanessa & Chris tied the knot at McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse last weekend. We went to college with both of them. Lindsey and Vanessa lived in the dorms together, and Chris played football. It's been a number of years since we've seen them. We had a great time catching up on such a happy occasion.

Emily and Drew had a totally rad wedding. The ceremony and reception were at Bethany Vineyards in Ridgefield, Washington. It was a gorgeous day with a bride and groom to match.
Drew and I were buddies in High School and used to ride mountain bikes together. We met Emily at another friends wedding we photographed last January up at the Silcox Hut on Mount Hood. Emily and Drew are incredibly sweet people, and we're so happy they found each other.

Here are a few pics from Miranda + Jeff's wedding yesterday. They got married at Kilworth Chapel and then had their reception at Fircrest Golf Club.
Leaving the chapel with bubbles + rain.

Today Lindsey and I had the pleasure of being both photographers and witnesses at the wedding of some friends of ours. The only people present were the bride & groom, the officiant, and us. We were thrilled to be part of their very unique wedding experience and wish them happiness in the years ahead.

On Saturday I joined photographer, Ron Henry, to shoot Monique + Travis' wedding. We started at Blessed Sacrament, a beautiful Catholic church over by UW. Then we headed over to the Seattle Tennis Club for the reception.
The whole wedding day went very smoothly. It was planned/coordinated by Katy Griffiths with VOWS Wedding Planning & Design.
Monique and Travis looked like they were having a great time. They were really cute together, and were a fun pair to photograph.

Lindsey and I are parents! Last Thursday our son, Avery, was born. He weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. This last week has been magical for both Lindsey and I. We've managed to take a few pictures along the way ;)
Right after Avery came out the surgeon put him over the curtain so Mommy and I could see him. The moment only lasted a second, and through all the tears this blurry image is pretty much how we remember it.

Misty & Chris picked the perfect day in January to have a wedding at Newcastle. No rain. No snow. Not a cloud in the sky. It was spectacular.
Ron Henry, one of Seattle's most talented photographers joined me. Thanks for coming out Ron!

Yesterday I shot my first wedding for 2007. Outside it was only 29 degrees and ice covered the streets and sidewalks of Bellingham. Inside, the Majestic was filled with twinkling lights and the warmth of family and friends. It was a great celebration.
